About the artist
Hi, I’m Travis.
I’m a wildlife photographer and eco-tour guide based in Crystal River, Florida. Every image on this site was taken on or around the spring-fed rivers and Gulf coast of Citrus County — usually from the deck of a boat I’ve been running for years.
I started selling prints because guests on my manatee tours kept asking if I had a copy of the photo I’d just shown them. Now anyone can take a piece of Crystal River home, whether you ever make the trip down or not.
The place
Why Crystal River
Crystal River is the only town in the United States where you can legally swim with wild manatees. Every winter, hundreds of them move into the spring-fed headwaters here because the water stays a constant 72° year-round. It is a once-in-a-lifetime ecosystem.
Beyond manatees, the same waters host roseate spoonbills, ospreys, dolphins, and the occasional river otter. The light through the spring vents is unlike anything else — that is what I’m chasing when I shoot.
The craft
How the prints are made
Every print is produced on demand at the lab nearest you through Prodigi’s global network. That means a few things:
- Shorter shipping, less packaging, lower carbon footprint.
- Archival paper and pigment inks with a century-rated lifespan.
- No inventory, no overprinting — nothing gets thrown out.
Framed editions ship in solid wood Classic frames with acid-free backing and glazing, ready to hang.
On the water
If you’re visiting
The best way to see Crystal River’s wildlife in person is on the water. I run small-group eco-tours through Crystal River Manatee Fun. Half-day trips, manatee snorkels, and sunrise wildlife tours — you can book directly there.
If you come out on a tour, you’ll get a private link to your own photo gallery a day or two later. You can download every shot for free and order prints of the ones you love.
